Work has just begun on re-interpreting this misunderstood fireplace in Victoria.  Set in a 2-story great room, the original fireplace didn’t have the scale or symmetry to jive with it’s surroundings.  We have reshaped the arrangement and centered the fireplace to allow for a focal point.  In order to enjoy the warmth of the recently centered fireplace, we have raised the entire setup off the floor to allow for a full length hearthstone (soon to come).  Wiring is currently being routed through the wall to the new television location mounted on the wall above the fireplace.  This will certainly prove to be a better vantage point than the former-off centered, low to the ground location.  More photos to follow as work proceeds.

Recently completed is an update to this ’70’s style home.  We have completely redesigned the look of this home and updated it with ‘James Hardie’ siding products and advanced trim details.  Marvin Ultrex windows have replaced the outdated “what were they thinking?” windows.  In the spirit of this homes’ original intent-the renovation will leave the homeonwer’s with a contemporary look that is current and refreshing.  On a side note:  We have taken specific design consideration in the placement of the new windows so as to allow the homeowner’s to finally be able to center their bed along the wall in their bedroom (not to mention creating a place for a headboard or artwork).  Again, it’s the little details that matter the most!-or at least to us they do!

Pictures cannot describe (especially ours) the quality and thought that has gone into the design of this lower level and screen porch renovation.  This project features a lower level finish which includes roughly 1,100 square feet of exquisitely detailed space to include a custom wet bar (note that the stools are anchored to the tile) and game room surrounded by soft archways, a billiards area and a family room complete with stone fireplace and custom built ins for all components and game storage.  On the main level, the homeowners are enjoying entertaining with a newly constructed cedar screen porch furnished with a stone fireplace and all necessary hookups to televise the big game.  A connecting cedar deck relates the new with the existing.  It’s time to call the professional photographers on this one!  Although we are on our game with design/build-we step aside and let the experts work their magic when it comes to photos.

Work is finally completed on this basement in Chanhassen. The space has been detailed with a full wet bar, distinctively detailed fireplace and extensive tile.  Pictures are on their way-that is if we can get everyone out of the bar for a moment!  This is a space to be enjoyed for years to come.
