Continuing Costs

This category describes the ongoing costs which are required to keep your website up and running. These fees are usually charged on an annual basis, but may vary depending on the agreement with your web designer.

• Website Hosting: Website hosting fees are the fees charged in order to keep websites active on the internet. These fees may be charged on a month-to-month basis; however Mankato Web Design generally charges hosting on a per year basis. Our company offers free hosting to our new clients for the first year. Every year after the initial year clients will be charged $99.99.

• Domain Name Registration: Domain Name Registration is the payment for the use of your web address, for example www.YourCompanyName.com. This fee is normally around $10 annually, depending on where your domain name is registered. Many of our clients have their domain names registered through GoDaddy.com; however we may also register domain names for our clients depending on their wishes.


• Ecommerce Fees: Clients who choose to create Ecommerce websites or online stores will incur additional charges depending on acceptance of credit card use. These fees range from $100 all the way to $1,000+ depending on the needs of your website.

Design Costs

Design Costs include the charges included in planning your website, designing your website, and coding your website. These are all of the charges necessary to create, customize, and insure your website is in perfect working condition. Each website’s price varies and depends on the number of pages, special features, and intricacy of work involved. • Set Up Costs: Set up costs include the initial meeting between Mankato Web Design and the client, the composure of the proposal, and the design of the mock-up website. While these costs are usually minimal in comparison to the rest of the project, they determine the most important factors of your web design project including design, time frame, cost structure, etc.
 

• Web Design Costs: Web design costs encompass the price that is your completed website. Each cost varies from client to client and can range from $500 to $5,000+. This includes costs for multiple pages, blogs, flash elements, detailed designs, logo design, and other website details.
 

• Programming and Content Costs: Programming and content costs are tied in very closely with design costs. In fact, a large portion of design costs are dedicated to these elements. Programming costs are used to code your website so that it appears and functions as it should. Content costs include the incorporation of your existing content, or creation of new content for your website. Again, because these factors vary from website to website these costs also vary. Programming and content costs also increase based on the level of work involved.

Miscellaneous Costs

Miscellaneous costs include any extra perks you may choose to add to your website throughout its existence. These costs are not necessary, but are highly recommended to improve your websites success.

• Marketing Campaigns: Marketing campaigns can range from the set up of a Google AdWords campaign, submission of your website to search engines, or a full fledged marketing campaign. The more you market your website, the more likely people are to visit it and purchase your products/services.
 

• Search Engine Optimization: Some level of Search Engine Optimization is included in all of our projects. However, extensive Search Engine Optimization is highly recommended for all of our website designs. The higher your website ranks in search engine results, the more likely people are to visit, and the more likely your website will be to make money for you. • Website Changes: Changes may need to be made to your website throughout its existence. If staff members have changed, you’ve added new products, or would prefer a new font color, you may make these changes throughout the existence of your site. Changes to any website will be charged at our hourly rate of $65 per hour.
